Preliminaries
It all starts with a complimentary, no-obligation consultation, which you can book now.
This consultation takes place remotely, and during this informal thirty minute session we will run through the key points of your brief.
This information will be used to create a custom scope of work and fee proposal that best meets your project’s unique requirements.
On-Site Meeting & Measured Survey
The process starts with an on-site meeting to assess the space and to fully understand your design preferences, practical requirements and budget. We will review a presentation of various interiors, to aid discussion and the flow of ideas,
A member of our technical design team will carry out a measured survey to capture dimensions, and note positions of doorways, windows and utilities. This information will be used throughout the design process.
Design Concept
With a comprehensive understanding of your requirements and preferred styles, we will create a carefully considered conceptual design scheme that includes a space optimising layout and some suggestions for finishes, lighting and furniture.
Rendered sketches will give you a good idea of how this design will look and feel in your own home.
Once you have had a chance to consider the design, we will have a meeting to discuss any required changes.
The review stage can be repeated up to an agreed number of times to ensure you are completely happy.
Technical & FF&E Design
Once the design concept is signed off, we can focus on finalising the design scheme down to every last detail.
This stage includes the production of detailed technical drawings and design proposals including specifications required by contractors to cost, manufacture or construct the project.
Schedules of wall and floor finishes, furniture, lighting and other key fixtures will also be finalised.
This attention to every last little detail ensures your project can progress smoothly from design phase, through to procurement and build.
Procurement
Once the final design is signed off, we will source all the elements required for the project. Trade disocunts are passed on, allowing significant savings on high-quality pieces that will stand the test of time.
This is also the point where any contractors required to bring the design to life are appointed.
Over the years, we have built strong workings relationships with some of the UK’s leading craftsmen, specialist suppliers and service providers; however, we are equally happy to work with your preferred tradesmen.
Ongoing Project Support
Depending on the project requirements and budget, we are able to offer varying levels of support during the critical renovation and building phase.
This may include regular site meetings with you and your contractor to ensure a high-quality finish and design integrity; delivering urgent design alterations in response to unforeseen issues thrown up during building work; as well as providing general expertise and guidence to help you best navigate this complex and sometimes stressful process.
Installation of FF&E & Room Styling
Where required, we can arrange the storage, delivery, assembly and installation of furniture, lighting, window treatments and art.
Once the project is substantially complete, it is time to bring the room to life with final finishing touches and a full styling session.
